I’m interested in an affordable set of golf clubs for a beginner. Where can I look?

I would prefer new, but lightly used could possibly be good too. I have only been out a couple of times but would like to have a simple set because I do see myself going out on occassion. I would prefer not to use an auction site like ebay, but will not rule it out.

look in newspaper adds or at golf pro shops as they may have second hand clubs for sale

Have you tried Overstock.com? That’s where I got my first set of inexpensive golf clubs, and I loved them. While they don’t have the same set I bought, there are some similar sets for sale there right now, including this one:

    http://www.overstock.com/Sports-Toys/Orlimar-Tirmetal-Plus-Hybrid-Iron-Set-3-PW/2530555/product.html?IID=prod2530555

And, with shipping from Overstock at only $2.95, you can get a really good deal.

I do hope this helps. Happy golfing!

You can usually get a set in there for 40 -50 bucks or less.

Go right here, put in your zip and it’ll show you local stores.
